Anniversary tattoo ideas..........?

My hubby and I like the idea of getting matching tattoos for our wedding anniversary.....want something relevant and meaningful.....any ideas? We had pondered adapting the infinity symbol to have a loveheart at each end........or an abstract symbol made up of our kids initials......or a flower from our wedding bouquet.......ideas appreciated...

Matching tattoos (not with names, please!) are nice. Some people suggest that it%26#039;s not a good idea in case you split up; the tattoo will still represent what is (or was) a significant part of your life, so it%26#039;ll still be meaningful and you shouldn%26#039;t worry.





Pick something that means something to you both - like from when/where you first met, or an interest you both have in common.





Or if you have a few ideas, take them into a good tattoo studio and talk it through with an artist, who might be able to incorporate all your ideas into a unique design for you.

Reply:i think the flower from your bouquet is a great idea, maybe get the artist to work the date into the flower, like have the date make a up one petal and your names make up two other petals.





I think your matching tat idea is very romantic, especially because it%26#039;s for your eyes only!!


Take your time with the design as it will be there forever, go see an artist to discuss the design, size colour etc etc.... also make sure you see thier work before you get anything done!!

Reply:The flower from the wedding bouquet sounds really romantic. I would suggest that and a word that means alot to both you like like fate or unity something along those lines along the stem.
Reply:I am sorry but I don%26#039;t agree with the matching tattoo thing. I have a couple of divorced friends that have matching tattoos and hate it! On my anniversary me and my husband got tattoos that meant something special about the other person. i got this beautiful flower that was like the flowers in the bouquet that he bought me when he proposed to me. He got a pin up girl that had some of my looks like the hair and the eyes and the booty! Try to think of something that reminds you of him and don%26#039;t necessarily match them but similar??
Reply:tattoo%26#039;s are really bad because when you get old they get all saggy and gross. But on the other hand it is a great way to feel connected. Try getting them in a place where only the two of you will see them;) Pick out each others
