Anniversary centerpieces?

I%26#039;m throwing a surprise anniversary party for my parents this year... I have been looking to find centerpieces I can assemble for a reasonable price. I am using 22%26#039;%26#039; tall glass vases with glass pebbles and a water activated light in the bottom. What kind of flower would look nice inside them? I would like something white but not roses becuase it%26#039;s a silver themed party.

Anniversary centerpieces?
Tulips, Calla Lilies, Peonies, Chrysanthemums. All would look really nice in the tall vases you are having. Put in some twigs that are painted silver, and it will look wonderful. That%26#039;s a really nice thing you%26#039;re doing, throwing a party for your parents. Shows what a good job they did of raising you, and what a good job you did of becoming a generous, giving, caring adult.
Reply:Winter or summer?

There is a special paint that florists use to color flowers. You could spray paint any flower, silver. Carnations are inexpensive. Or you could paint silk flowers. I%26#039;ve done both, real %26amp; silk.

For winter you could get twigs, paint them silver %26amp; arrange them in your vases.
Reply:Daisies work great for this... they float! We did it for a friends wedding center pieces. Depending on how big the vase is... how round... gerbera daisies are bigger and are truly amazing. Good luck. Hope it helps.
Reply:White chrysanthemums and calla lilies with trailing green ivy would look nice.
Reply:Sorry, don%26#039;t know about the centerpieces, but here%26#039;s an idea if you have time that would be great to have on display at the party!

Something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you, they, family and friends would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some family/friends pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
